It is not unusual to have several speakers when talking about immersive surround sound. Z607 was an interesting case, with all five of its satellite speakers oriented in a vertical position. In addition, the Logi logo was also repeated on all the speakers as well, making a horizontal orientation an impossibility.
As a solution, the subwoofer included with the system, would serve as the main focal point, angled to show the port hole and several product features. This would allow one satellite speaker to serve as a reference, while the remaining four speakers were repeated and staggered, to show quantity and to solve for the repetitive logo use.
The next phase of the process was directing a photoshoot, capturing an environment, and giving consumers an idea for how to setup their speaker system. Eventually the image would reside on the back of the package, supported by an illustrated diagram. By elevating and wall mounting the television in the image, the issue of arranging five vertical satellite speakers was resolved.
One side of the package features a compatibility matrix with technical specifications, with the other repeating the communication from the front. The business group was pleased with the asymmetrical design solution and the simple use of repetition to communicate value.
