Around April of 2007, a large white, black, and pink mural appeared in the graffiti area of Venice Beach, Ca. The colors and line work were so beautifully executed that two pictures on a low resolution camera phone were immediately taken. Within a matter of days, the work was gone, without any trace of who created the work.
Over the next several years, those two images would serve as needed inspiration, eventually discovering through a reverse image search, that the work was created by INSA, a graffiti writer turned artist. Years later, while working with the Ultimate Ears team, these images had resurfaced generating interest within the group.
An agreement had been reached, and after several discussions, patterns, and packaging iterations, a Limited Edition Boom was in the works. The final result was a speaker interlaced with vivid colors that felt fun and exciting.
INSA began his career as a graffiti writer often recognized by his ‘graffiti fetish’ pattern. INSA’s work can be found in major cities around the world including; Tokyo, LA, New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Warsaw. Link
